Welcome ...

... to the Yatton Moor Team Ministry. We are a friendly, lively team, each of our five village churches different in character, but all offering a warm welcome, whether you are new to the area or are already part of the community. We are situated in North Somerset, 12 miles South West of Bristol, England.

Yatton Moor Team Ministry is a Training Parish within the Diocese of Bath and Wells, and has responsibility for the five churches within it, covering local villages:

  • St Barnabas, Claverham
  • Holy Trinity, Cleeve
  • St John the Evangelist, Kenn
  • All Saints', Kingston Seymour
  • St Mary the Virgin, Yatton

Thu: 21st May 2020
Updated 1st. June 2020
We have recently celebrated the feast of Pentecost, in which we remember the coming of God's Holy Spirit, characterised by love, joy and peace. It assures us of the presence of God with us and in the world whatever circumstances we face. We hope this is a source of encouragement.
In response to the Covid-19 Pandemic, sadly we are having to keep our church buildings closed at present and public worship in our buildings has been suspended. However, the ministry of the church continues and prayers are regularly said for our local communities. DETAILS OF OUR ON-LINE SERVICES ARE ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THIS WEBSITE PAGE.
As soon as we are able, we shall re-open church buildings to the public as places of prayer, reflection and comfort for all.
If you are passing St. Mary's church as part of your daily walk you may care to pause for a moment by the cross and the flowers at the South door of the Church. Please do not touch the cross or the flowers and please observe the required social distancing at all times.

As well as our regular services and special events, there is a lot going on in our churches, from music to bellringing, from youth groups to craft groups, and regular involvement in the wider village communities.

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved, but if you would rather just come and worship or join in any of our events, you are equally most welcome.

For Those Not Able To Attend Funerals

We are aware as this time there are many people who are not able to attend the funerals of loved ones. Below are links to two resources that may be helpful for use at home.

Resource 1 - Remember a loved one on the day of their funeral

Resource 2 - from the Church of England

From Revd. Tim Scott.

Dear Friends,

We continue to journey as communities of faith across the 5 churches of the Team as we seek to follow our Lord Jesus Christ. It is likely we shall have to continue to do this without physically meeting for some time.

There are many resources to sustain us at a time such as this and you may well have discovered your favourite 'go to' on-line resources or books.

Specifically for this time you may find helpful Prayers for use during the Coronovirus outbreak: Prayers for use during the coronavirus outbreak

Can I remind you of the booklet on this website for Morning and Night Prayer which I know some have found helpful -
Worship at Home
There is a also a form of 'Spiritual Communion' some may find helpful - Spiritual Communion

Links you may also find helpful are:

There is also an app which can be downloaded onto a smart phone or tablet of a book: 'Reflections for daily prayer': Subscription cost £12.99 for the full year , or you can do it for 3 months or 1 month, I think, via a smart phone. This gives a short reflection for each day based on the lectionary reading.

With prayers and best wishes to you all.
